While I was bathing and cleaning my Mom, she said through her sobs, "Forgive me, Ega, for being a burden to you. You are a good child; never regret having helped me. Your future will be bright. I pray that you'll find a good husband who loves you and whose family genuinely cares for you too, so that you may live a comfortable and secure life. God willing, you will lead a happy life." 🤲🏻

I replied, "No need to apologize, Mom. Back when we were little, you were the one who cared for all of us; now, it is my turn to do the same."

It has become my routine to bathe and feed my Mom every morning, while my older brother who is retired from work, takes over those duties during the day and at night. Perhaps, if I were to marry and move out of Mom's house, my brother would handle everything, and I'll miss this moment 🥹. There are four of us siblings.

It is truly moving, yet heartbreaking, to hear a mother speak and pray like that. Sometimes I wonder, when I grow old, will there be anyone to take care of me? 🥹

There is a saying that goes; a mother can take care of ten children, yet ten children cannot necessarily take care of one mother.

Sometimes we trust people too much and forget that only Allah never breaks His promises.
You’re allowed to feel disappointed, heartbroken, or betrayed…
But never let your faith waver.
Allah is replacing what’s not meant for you with something far better.
Just trust. Just be patient. Just keep praying.🤲☺️
