"Unlike dirt on our hands or clothes that we can easily see and wash away, the impurities of the heart—such as envy, pride, hatred, greed, or indifference—remain hidden. They grow slowly, often without us noticing, until they begin to show in how we speak, how we treat others, and even how we see Allah and His commands.
A pure heart is like clear water: it reflects truth and goodness. But when it becomes clouded, everything we perceive becomes distorted. Our actions, relationships, peace of mind, and even our prayers are all affected.
The good news is that even though it is unseen, the heart is not beyond repair. Just as we regularly bathe our bodies, we must regularly cleanse our hearts through sincere repentance, remembering Allah, forgiving others, and doing good deeds. It takes effort and awareness, but it is the most important purification we can ever do."
