If a person gave away your body to some passerby, you’d be furious. Yet you hand over your mind to anyone who comes along, so they may abuse you, leaving it disturbed and troubled.
Have you no shame in that? 🤦🏾♂️

WALLĀHI… SO WHAT?
Finish your slaying.
Wear the newest outfit.
Buy the expensive clothes.
Follow every new fashion trend.
Take the pictures.
Post them.
Collect the compliments.
Chase the likes.
Show everyone how good you look.
And then…
What happens?
One day they will wash your body.
They will wrap you in a simple white shroud.
No designer label.
No expensive shoes.
No jewellery.
No handbag.
No phone.
No followers.
No likes.
They will carry you.
They will take you to the grave.
They will lower you into the ground.
They will cover you with soil.
Your family will walk away.
Your friends will return home.
And you will remain there.
Tomorrow, the tailors will create another style.
Another trend will appear.
Another outfit will become popular.
People will move on.
But you?
You're underneath the ground in the same simple white kafan.
So what was all the chasing for?
What did the fashion give you when your soul left your body?
What did the likes do for you?
What did the expensive clothes do for you?
What did people's opinions do for you?
Nothing.
Because when death comes, the only thing that matters is what you sent ahead.
Your salah.
Your tawbah.
Your charity.
Your Qur'an.
Your good deeds.
Your sincerity.
Your treatment of people.
Your relationship with Allah.
That's what remains.
So I'm not telling you to dress badly.
I'm not telling you that looking good is haram.
I'm telling myself first:
Don't become so obsessed with looking good for people that you forget to prepare yourself for Allah.
Because the day will come when your clothes will be removed for the final time.
And your body will be covered in a shroud.
Then the question won't be:
“How did you look?”
It will be:
“What did you do with the life Allah gave you?”
Wallāhi…
SO WHAT?
The world will continue without you.
The fashion will continue without you.
The shops will continue.
The phones will continue.
The trends will continue.
But your opportunity to add another good deed to your record will have ended.
So before that day comes—
turn back to Allah.
Pray.
Repent.
Give charity.
Fix your heart.
Leave the sins.
Forgive people.
Do good while you still can.
Because one day...
they will wrap you in white too.
And when that day comes,
your clothes won't speak for you.
Your deeds will.
May Allah grant us a righteous life, a good ending, forgiveness after death, light in our graves and Jannatul-Firdaws al-Aʿlā.
Āmīn.
