Surah An-Najm 53:59
Arabic:
أَفَمِنْ هَٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ
English translation:
“Do you then wonder at this statement?”
Qur’an 53:59
Explanation:
This verse challenges people who are astonished or doubtful about the Qur’an and its message. The following verses, 53:60–62, speak about laughing rather than weeping, remaining heedless, and prostrating to Allah and worshipping Him.
Rather than treating Allah’s revelation lightly, people are encouraged to reflect upon it sincerely, humble themselves before Allah, and worship Him.

Surah Al-Ahzab 33:59
English translation (meaning):
“O Prophet! Tell your wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks over their bodies. That is more suitable so that they may be recognised and not be harmed. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
Explanation:
This verse instructs the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to tell Muslim women to draw their outer garments over themselves when going out.
The verse highlights three main points:
Modesty: Muslim women are instructed to dress modestly.
Recognition and protection: The verse states that this clothing would help them be recognised and avoid harassment.
Allah’s mercy: Allah is All-Forgiving and Most Merciful.
The verse is commonly discussed in Islam in relation to the hijab, modest dress, and women's dignity
