Hi Girls ! I just created this group for women who are seeking for getting islamic knowledge at self-paced form with no judgmental things. I have just covered hijab not many years ago and started learning about getting religious education. I love contents of Ousama and Dr Hanifa Yousoufzai - from Jannah institute. I would like to create a community of girls where I send podcasts and we listen to them and we sit and discuss it what we learned and how we imagine how we could use it and how we feel like and understand across cultures and values these all things within our community. Pls join in ! I hope there will not be any negative or extreme thoughts but we just try to be better muslims ! thanks !

Salaam alaikum, is it normal to feel alone since reverting I don’t know any other reverts and the only other person in my family who is Muslim is my brother but we don’t get on it’s toxic. I feel out of my depth and don’t know where to begin. I understand and appreciate it’s all a journey, one that is written and it won’t be the easiest of journeys. I love and respect that. I love reading religious books about it Islam and reading the Quran researching etc alhumdulilah, but it would be nice to have other revert sisters to talk to 🥺 insh’Allah

Please no judgement

Tattoos and reverts

I know there is a decent amount of "born and raised" Muslims in here and that's why I'm making this post.

You all got to stop. Seriously. I've been seeing/hearing comments online/offline giving others a hard time for tattoos which they got before accepting Islam. This is wrong and it's ridiculous.

Yes, tattoos are haram. But, everything is forgiven upon accepting Islam. So, why are we judging others? All we're doing is driving people back to their old ways or leaving them to feel isolated.

The scholars have said that if it's too difficult or too painful to get the tattoos removed, asking forgiveness is enough. People don't need to get their tattoos removed if it's difficult/painful.

There was a revert brother who used to come to the masjid wearing a camouflage jacket on hot summer days. Then one day he started coming to the masjid in a t-shirt. He had almost full sleeve tattoos on each arm.

I asked him why he came to the masjid wearing a jacket. He told me he did not want to be judged for his tattoos that he got when he was a part of the KKK.

Although I was relieved to see him feel comfortable in his own skin (no pun intended), it saddened me to see him go through that stage of hiding it. He shouldn't have had to do that.

I'm reminded of this every time I see someone judge another for having tattoos. It just happened the other day.

So, let's worry about ourselves and leave others' affairs to them.

May Allah make it easy and forgive us all. Ameen..❤️🤲
