Why do some people come on here just to start an argument and watch when people go crazy?

I've been on some profiles, both men and women, where every single post they have is literally designed to cause issues. I'm not talking about those where one specific man/woman does something to them and then they go attacking the whole gender, no. For those at least there is a trigger for the post, and it was something that happened to them personally.

These profiles I've seen feel like their whole purpose in life is to cause chaos. Every post reads absolutely cold and devoid of any personal attachment. They're literally designed to stir up trouble.

Do people get gratification from seeing comments appearing on their posts?? That's a sad life honestly. Why not find a hobby or something, that would be a lot more fulfilling.

This post is dedicated to all those brothers and sisters who are in the same position as me. Currently at this moment in my life, I actively decided to take a break from my own personal endeavours to looking after my mum full-time who is disabled and on a path of slow decline (May Allah preserve her in the best manner possible inshallah)

Each day comes with its challenges, from the joys of bonding with and getting to know in-depth, the woman who sacrificed everything in her capacity to make you the person you are today - to experiencing decline in mobility, accepting the slow and inevitable creeping shadow of ageing and coping with combative mental health stresses.

The long 13-18 hour days, the silent heroics, the militant routine of morning to night. The “never-off” switch must be kept on at all costs otherwise the person who needs you the most cannot simply function and have a baseline quality of life. The tea kettle is rumbling, the hoover is humming, the tap is running, the dish sponge is squelched, iron is frothing, cleaned surfaces are screeching. A concerto of chaos, bringing order of khidmah to a home.

Alhumdulillah it’s an amazing privilege to look after her, see her smile and be reassured that I am here for her, trying to do my best to make up for any shortcomings in my caring duties. I often see a hidden prejudice amongst South-Asian Muslims who may nt wish to admit, but their culturally-driven lifestyles find those of physical inability, a necessary inconvenience. I’ve heard the scorn in supermarkets, the child-like stares from adults who you would think know better.

The best thing I have ever done in my time is adapt and have a thick skin and be unapologetic in being a dutiful son. This path in life may not be for everyone, it’s raw and hard and can easily break people if they don’t take time out for themselves to relax, heal emotionally, neurologically hibernate and evolve their perspectives.

May Allah preserve and protect all of our parents and elderly from a decline in health and shield them with support and love from a loneliness epidemic and it would be lovely to hear amazing stories from those who care in any capacity, there is no judgement from me on what “care” is. I understand everyone is at a different stage in their lives but even small deeds and to speak of proudly would make this post a wonderful addition for others to read inshallah. ❤️

What are your experiences of caring for your parents? Let story time begin! 😎🤲🏻

As someone with a huge interest in mental health, psychotherapy, counselling and emotional regulation. I love listening to people, taking in their problems, helping them navigate their decisions and sometimes offer impartial advice of a non regulated and discretionary nature.

Full disclosure, although I do not hold a psychology degree, a COSCA certificate in counselling or any other qualifications in professional practice - I take quiet pride in being an exceptionally confidential, very impartial, non-judgemental listener. I believe my patient nature and empathetic tone of writing may assist those who wish to engage with me. I also gently encourage critical thinking on part of the person speaking to me.

If anyone wishes to ever reach out to write to me inshallah about anything, you can reach me on the mental health group inshallah. DMs are open to outreach too inshallah if that is more appropriate.

Just want people to know there is always a good healthy space they can speak so as to make this app a more positive place

I’m not gonna lie, I genuinely think being a Black woman looking for marriage is one of the hardest things. The racism and colourism you can experience is honestly insane. If a guy from outside your race likes you, you sometimes have to wonder whether his family will accept you or whether you’ll face racism from them. And sadly, even within our own community, Black women can experience colourism from Black men too.

Then there’s the fetishisation, being ghosted or aired as soon as someone finds out you’re Black, or simply being treated differently because of the colour of your skin. Whether it’s from Arabs, Asians, Europeans or people from other backgrounds, these experiences can really make the whole process of finding someone feel so much harder.

Ps. Before you think of commenting something dumb, THINK AGAIN

Hi everyone, hope you’re all keeping well 😊 Just a little message to let you know that I’ve recently been asked to help moderate the Muslims in the UK group.

It’s all quite new to me and came a little unexpectedly, but I’m looking forward to helping where I can. Please always feel welcome to ask questions, share any concerns or reach out if there’s anything you’d like to discuss.

Most importantly, I hope we can continue to keep this a kind, respectful and supportive space for everyone. Please be gentle with one another and keep spreading positivity 💗💙
