Why do women ask for ambition?
Yet when they find someone with ambition, it's too much.

This is one for the sisters:

How do you hold these rather married Muslim women who openly and casually message flirtatiously with other married men in their DMs to account for spreading fitnah? Should their husbands or children be informed of their shameful behaviour?

There is a uni student I know who is planning on setting up a UK Facebook group themed upon Ghostbusters later this year, for exposing these types of behaviours. I was told it will be a group only for UK brothers and there will be no comments allowed to minimise slander. But the flirting party will be publicly exposed.

Now there is a huge plethora of men who are exposed publicly as shameful people and before they are exposed there is very little thought given to their families who have to live through the ordeal of their misconduct. Yet it takes two to tango.

The argument people often use for the exposure of men of their flirting and infidelity leaning sin is that it protects the wider pool of women from predatory behaviour. How would people feel about such a method then being applied across the board equally at women who are clearly in the wrong?

Personally I’m a bit conflicted because I feel that as much as possible sins shouldn’t be exposed unless there is a clear and present danger to an individual or a wider society as the one who covers the flaw of a Muslim will themselves be shielded on the Day of Judgement.

Should the same standard apply to women?

Would be interesting to get a discussion going and to see if there genuinely is a gender bias of sorts.

*Yes — outsourcing is a real part of the squeeze, especially in Big Four audit/accounting. But it's not simply “UK accountants replaced by Indians.”

The current model is more like:

UK client/team
→ senior/manager handles client, judgement, sign-off
→ India/other offshore team does a growing amount of testing, documentation, analysis and increasingly complex audit work
→ AI automates another chunk of routine work.

The UK regulator FRC has actually raised concerns about this. In July 2026 it said Big Four firms were increasingly using offshore teams for UK audits, including work involving professional judgement, rather than just routine administrative tasks. (Financial Times)

And the scale isn't tiny: around a quarter of KPMG UK's audit workforce is offshore, according to its latest transparency report. (Financial Times)

So why does that matter for a UK graduate?

Because traditionally the Big Four pyramid was:

100 graduates → 70 survive/qualify → 40 seniors → 20 managers → 5 partners

Offshoring + AI potentially changes it to:

100 graduates → fewer needed because some work is done offshore/automated → smaller UK pyramid

And we're already seeing pressure. KPMG proposed cutting up to 440 UK audit roles in 2026, primarily assistant-manager positions, while PwC cut 175 junior auditors previously. (Financial Times)

There's an interesting twist though: PwC explicitly says it hasn't simply offshored/automated everything, partly because junior accountants need to learn professional judgement. (Financial Times)

So I'd put it this way:

Routine accounting: 🔴 outsourcing + AI risk
Basic audit work: 🔴 significant pressure
Qualified accountant with judgement: 🟡
Client-facing / complex advisory: 🟢🟡
Partner/business development: 🟢

And this explains something you were getting at earlier: the ACA itself isn't necessarily becoming worthless; the traditional “start at the bottom and gradually learn by doing tons of grunt work” model is what's being disrupted.

Ironically, Big Four partners are doing extremely well while the bottom of the pyramid is being squeezed — PwC partners are reportedly heading toward £900k average pay for 2026, while the firm has simultaneously reduced UK headcount. (Financial Times)

So yeah... the people at the top are eating very well while the robots and offshore teams are fighting over the bottom 😂.*

I think one of the weirdest things about Muslim communities is how much stuff gets normalised just because nobody talks about it.

Like “don’t question it, that’s just how things are.”

But… since when did silence make something Islamic?

Sometimes I genuinely think we need to unlearn certain things we’ve been taught and actually go back to the religion itself.
