“‘Our Lord! Make us […] ˹fully˺ submit to You and from our descendants a nation that will submit to You. Show us our rituals, and turn to us in grace. You are truly the Accepter of Repentance, Most Merciful. Our Lord! Raise from among them a messenger who will recite to them Your revelations, teach them the Book and wisdom, and purify them. Indeed, You ˹alone˺ are the Almighty, All-Wise.’” 2:128-129.

One day, you will understand why Allah didn’t give you what you begged for, why certain people had to leave, why some doors stayed closed, and why certain plans never worked out. You will look back and realise that Allah was protecting you in ways you couldn’t see at the time. So don’t let one unanswered du’a make you doubt His love for you. Keep making du’a. Keep trusting Allah. Keep walking forward. Sometimes what feels like a setback is actually Allah redirecting you towards something better.

Haram income can become a barrier between you and the acceptance of your duʿāʾ.

You may raise your hands and say:

“Yā Allah, help me.”
“Yā Allah, accept my duʿāʾ.”
“Yā Allah, give me what I need.”

But then ask yourself:

Where did my money come from?
How am I earning my living?
Is what I am consuming halal?

The Prophet ﷺ mentioned a man who travels, raises his hands toward the heavens and calls upon Allah, yet his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothing is unlawful, and he is nourished by what is unlawful. The Prophet ﷺ then said:

“How can his supplication be answered?”

📚📖 Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1015📚📖

This is a serious warning.

So don't only ask Allah to bless your money.

Ask Allah to make your money halal in the first place.

Don't build your life on stolen wealth, fraud, deception, bribery, cheating, or unlawful earnings and then wonder why your heart feels distant from Allah.

Keep it halal.

Even if halal income seems smaller.

Even if haram income looks faster.

Even if everyone around you is doing it.

Barakah is better than abundance without blessing.

Earn halal.
Eat halal.
Spend halal.
Give ṣadaqah from halal wealth.
And ask Allah to accept your deeds and your duʿāʾ.

May Allah purify our wealth, protect us from haram earnings, place barakah in our halal rizq, and accept our duʿās.

Āmīn. 🤲🏽

A little update on my dad. Alhamdulillah, he is now fully awake and his condition is stable, and he will be moved out of the ICU to a normal ward today.

I believe in the power of Duas, and I’m so genuinely grateful to everyone who has made Dua for my dad, checked in on him (and me too) and kept him in their thoughts. Your kindness and prayers mean more to me than I can put into words.

Please continue to keep him in your Duas for his full recovery and shifa. Thank you 💛

“˹Allah [swt] will say to the righteous,˺ ‘O tranquil soul! Return to your Lord, well pleased ˹with Him˺ and well pleasing ˹to Him˺. So join My servants, and enter My Paradise.’” 89:27-30.

Insha’Allah. Ameen.
