DEAR Muslimahs ,

MAKE DU‘Ā FOR A HUSBAND WHO WILL LOVE YOU FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH ﷻ.

Dear sister,

when you make du‘ā for a husband, do not ask Allah only for a handsome man, a wealthy man, or a man who knows how to speak sweet words.

Ask Allah to bless you with a man whose heart fears Him, whose character is beautiful, and whose love will bring you closer to your Lord.

Make du‘ā for a husband who calls you beautiful with sincerity, not one who makes you feel that your worth depends on your appearance.

A husband who listens when you speak, notices when you are hurting, reassures you when you feel insecure, and makes time for you even when life becomes busy.

Make du‘ā for a husband who holds your hand with affection, kisses your forehead with tenderness, and makes you feel loved without demanding that you compete with other women for his attention.

A man who appreciates you without makeup, without expensive clothes, without social media attention, and without you having to expose your beauty to the world to prove that you are valuable.

Make du‘ā for a husband who protects your dignity, respects your feelings, honours you in private and in public, and never uses your weaknesses as weapons against you during an argument.

A husband who reminds you of Allah when you become forgetful, encourages you when your faith feels weak, stands beside you during difficult times, and makes du‘ā for you even when you are unaware of it.

Dear sister,

ask Allah for a man who will not only say, “I love you,” but will demonstrate that love through his character, patience, loyalty, responsibility, and treatment of you.

Ask for a husband who understands that marriage is not merely about romance, physical attraction, or beautiful pictures. It is an amānah—a responsibility before Allah.

Allah ﷻ says:☝️

وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ

“And live with them in kindness.”

And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:☝️

“The best of you are the best to their wives.”

Dear brothers,

remember that a righteous wife is not merely someone to provide for. She is a human being with feelings, fears, hopes, and a heart that also needs tenderness.

Be the husband who makes his wife feel safe, appreciated, respected, and loved. Do not be gentle with strangers while being harsh to the woman who shares your home. Do not speak beautifully in public while making your wife cry in private.

And dear sisters,

remember that no husband will be perfect. Ask Allah for righteousness, good character, compatibility, and a marriage in which both of you help one another obey Him.

May Allah grant our sisters righteous husbands who protect their dignity, honour their rights, cherish them with sincerity, and help them draw closer to Allah.

May Allah make our brothers righteous husbands who fulfil their responsibilities with mercy, patience, loyalty, and taqwā.

May Allah bless our marriages, protect our homes from oppression and betrayal, and unite believing couples upon goodness in this world and in Jannatul-Firdaws.

Āmīn, yā Rabb al-‘Ālamīn. 🤲

Just take comfort in knowing that Allah knows what you want. And when the time is right He swt will make it happen, better than you could ever imagine. Just don’t give up and nor lose the hope you have.

“Exalted is Allah, the True King! Do not rush to recite ˹a revelation of˺ the Quran ˹O Prophet˺ before it is ˹properly˺ conveyed to you, and pray, ‘My Lord! Increase me in knowledge.’” 20:114.

“‘Our Lord! Grant us the good of this world and the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.’” 2:201.
