Assalam o Alaikum. If you meet a brand new revert, besides Surah Al-Fatiha, which other Surah would you recommend to learn.

Surrounded, Yet Alone — or Alone, Yet at Peace
Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه reports that Rasúlullah ﷺ said:
Imran ibn Hattan رحمة الله عليه narrated that I went to Abu Dhar رضي الله عنه and found him sitting alone in the Masjid, with a black cloak wrapped around. I asked him: “O Abu Dhar! Why this solitude?”
He replied: “I had heard Rasúlullãh ﷺ saying:
“Solitude is better than an evil companion; and a good companion is better than solitude.
Speaking what is good is better than silence, and silence is better than talking evil.”

I have suggested books but let's shake things up. Muslims here badly need to watch political shows and films not as entertainment, but as a class.
Watch House of Cards, Suits, Game of Thrones, Yes Minister, The Diplomat, Borgen, The Ides of March, V for Vendetta, The Godfather, The Dark Knight, Kingdom of Heaven, Lawrence of Arabia, and The British Spy Who Divided the Muslim Ummah the last one critically, not as unquestionable history.
Many Muslims know how to become emotionally outraged, but not how power operates. We demand protests without leadership, slogans without strategy, unity without organisation and justice without possessing any leverage to enforce it.
Politics rewards strength and strategy, not innocence.
Stop watching these productions only for dialogues, heroes and villains. Study every negotiation, alliance, betrayal, media tactic, compromise and shift in power. Treat every episode like a classroom, because political ignorance is not innocence, it is voluntary helplessness.
Before the Haram Police comes after me, the purpose of this list is education, not entertainment. I have suggested books as well, but realistically, most people will not read them. These shows and films can at least be watched or rewatched with attention.
You are responsible for your own desires, intentions and boundaries. Filter what is Islamic and what is not, take the lessons, and leave the rest. You are adults, not teenagers who need every piece of content spoon fed or morally supervised.

When ZINA penetrates
The body of a fellow human being,
Wallahi
It is extremely difficult to get rid of it.
ZINA is addictive. When you start,
You hardly stop. And it is dangerous. Every single thing you touch,
Allah removes Barakah from it.
When you earn money,
All of it finishes as if fire eats it.
Every day you in this or that problem
The heart of adulterer will never settle.
People who commit ZINA
Even after they got married,
They continue to do it.
Why do you think people cheat in marriages?
Because they engaged in all the
Haram act right from beginning.
May Allah SWT protect our private
Parts from commit Haram.

Reminder: You want a practicing, religious spouse?
Did you pray Fajr today? Don't neglect your salah, in shā' Allāh, pray now if you missed.
I've spoken to a few Muslims and asked if they pray. They replied, "Yes... in my own way." Then I asked if they could read the Qur'an in Arabic, and they said, "No."
We often have a long list of qualities we want in a spouse, but are we striving to become those qualities ourselves? Let's all make an effort to learn to read the Qur'an in Arabic, establish our salah on time, and grow in our deen as we are striving for this dunya. A practicing spouse is a blessing, but becoming a practicing spouse is our own responsibility.
