Light and Darkness in Islamic Perspective (Qur’anic View)

God as Creator of All Things

In Islam, Allah is described as the creator of everything that exists, including what humans label as good and bad. This does not mean Allah is considered “evil,” but that all existence originates from a single source.

“Allah is the Creator of all things…”
— Qur’an 39:62

Darkness as Part of Creation, Not Pure Evil

The Qur’an acknowledges the existence of “evil” in creation but does not attribute evil to Allah Himself.

“I seek refuge… from the evil of what He has created”
— Qur’an 113:1-2

Darkness, in this framing, is part of creation and not inherently moral evil.

Light and Darkness as Signs of Creation

Night and day are described in the Qur’an as signs within creation rather than moral opposites.

“And among His signs are the night and the day…”
— Qur’an 41:37

Light and darkness function as complementary aspects of experience and perception.

Moral Responsibility and Human Action

Islamic theology generally places moral “evil” in human actions and choices rather than in creation itself. Darkness is not treated as moral wrongdoing, but as a neutral condition within which moral agency operates.

Balance Within Creation

The Qur’anic worldview presents existence as structured in balance. Light and darkness are both part of that structure, serving different roles in human experience and reflection.

Perception and Interpretation of Reality

From a broader philosophical perspective, human perception interprets reality through contrast. Light and dark, ease and difficulty, clarity and uncertainty become meaningful through comparison, not as isolated absolutes.

⚔️🛡️History isn't written by those who fall..but by the ones who refuse to stay down..☝🏼 Allahu Akbar..which is why the Prophets of Allah swt and the Sahaabah Companions radhyiAllahu 'anhum are MY heroes..not these fake characters in games and in the movies the enemies of Allah are feeding our youngsters..

When your lack of manners, lack of kindness, lack of gentleness and…HUMILITY makes you a crappy person you have lost your iman.
It doesn’t matter how many prayers you offer up, do acts of charity and how much you read the Quran & how much knowledge you have…

Assalamu alaikum may Allah bless anyone reading this
I wanna ask for some advice on how to be more forgiving, I've noticed it's a beautiful trait but also hard and rare to have. I think we all want to have more of it in our relationships whether it's family or friends, so why not incorporate it ourselves when even our prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him told us to do so

What Islam are you following? Prepare to be shocked

Sectarianism promotes lies against GOD and the blessed prophet Muhammad in their additional books 📚 (Bukhari and Co.)
Those sincere to learn about these lies and contradictions can google "Quran Vs. hadith"

https://www.quranvshadith.com/Hadith-Contradictions.html

GOD and The Quran are sufficient for religious guidance.
