The truth is - why do I not want to force myself anymore? It seems that whatever is going to happen will happen; can it be changed by force? The desire to explain my side that I tried my best in the past - I can no longer find it now.

If someone misunderstands, I accept it. If someone says something wrong, I accept it. If someone accuses me, I accept it. If someone slanders me, I accept it. Basically, I don't want to get involved in arguments anymore. I will say two things for myself: I don't have that strength.

My mind has somehow lifted above everything. I have lost so much that I no longer have the willpower to hold on to anything. If it is on my forehead, it will stay; if not, it will disappear. I silently look at fate.

Women, please be aware of religious abuse, especially when it comes from men. All they want is power and control over you.

This is not talked about enough.

If a man or even a woman is quoting religious texts and saying things like:

  • -

    Men/husbands have authority over you

  • -

Divorce can only be granted by the husband ( courts will grant you the divorce orders)

  • -

You have to return the mahr if you divorce, even with a valid reason

  • -

Women need to obey their husbands

  • -

Marriage is half of the deen

  • -

Angels will curse you if you say no to a.3.x frm your husband

  • -

A husband can hit his wife

  • -

You need to suffer, endure and adjust to your husband

  • -

    Women have lesser intellect

  • -

    Women are emotional

These are all religious abuse to gain power and control over you.

And if it’s coming from someone living under the same roof as you, it falls under domestic abuse.

Don’t let someone weaponise your religion to control you.

Disclaimer: I’m genuinely looking for serious responses to this. Please leave emotional defensiveness at home and address the actual argument. If the Qur’an is truly from Allah, it should withstand scrutiny. Testing it should not threaten the truth.

Qur’an 23:14 describes the embryo progressing from a mudghah into bones, followed by:

“Then We clothed the bones with flesh.”

The Arabic is:

فَخَلَقْنَا الْمُضْغَةَ عِظَامًا فَكَسَوْنَا الْعِظَامَ لَحْمًا

The word “fa” indicates succession/order, and classical tafsir also understood this as stages: the mudghah becomes bones, followed by those bones being clothed with flesh.

The problem is that modern human embryology does not show:

mudghah/tissue → bones → then muscle/flesh develops.

Muscle precursors and skeletal precursors develop with substantial overlap. In some regions, premuscular tissue is already present before or alongside the cartilaginous skeletal structures. Actual ossified bone develops even later.

Yes, later muscle becomes organized around the developing skeletal framework, so “clothed with flesh” can describe the eventual anatomical relationship. But that is different from saying the embryo becomes bones and THEN those bones are covered with flesh.

I’m Muslim, so this matters enormously to me. The Qur’an presents itself as revelation from the Creator and invites reflection and scrutiny. If Allah created the human body, He obviously knows embryology perfectly.

I’m not interested in “science changes” or “just have faith.” If there is a legitimate explanation based on the Arabic, classical understanding, and actual embryology, I genuinely want to hear it.

TL;DR: Qur’an 23:14 appears to give an ordered sequence of bones → flesh. Modern embryology shows skeletal and muscular development overlapping, with muscle precursors sometimes appearing before/alongside the skeletal framework. Is there a substantive explanation that doesn’t require forcing modern science back into the verse?

Allah is not a body and is clear of occupying space.

The Hadith of Nuzul is one of the most quoted for this difference. It is in Bukhari and Muslim, so both groups accept it as authentic.

Yanzilu Rabbuna tabaraka wa ta'ala kulla laylatin ila al-sama al-dunya hina yabqa thuluth al-layl al-akhir, yaqul: man yad'uni fa-astajibu lahu, man yas'aluni fa-u'tihi, man yastaghfiruni fa-aghfiru lahu.

The literal translation:
Our Lord, Blessed and Exalted, descends every night to the lowest heaven when the last third of the night remains and says: Who is calling upon Me that I may answer him? Who is asking Me that I may give him? Who is seeking My forgiveness that I may forgive him?

All agree: This is true, we believe in it, Allah's descent is not like creation descending, and Allah's Mercy is close to His servants at that time.

The disagreement is the same as with Istiwa: What does yanzilu / descent mean?

  1. Method of the Salaf - Tafwid
The early position reported from Malik, Ahmad, al-Awza'i, Sufyan al-Thawri.
Affirm the wording, negate the how, and consign the meaning to Allah.
Imam al-Bayhaqi reports from al-Awza'i: We pass these hadiths as they came, without how.
So you say: Allah descends as He said, with a descent befitting His Majesty, not movement or transfer from place to place, and we do not ask how. We stop there.
This is called tafwid al-ma'na, consigning the intended meaning.

  2. Method of Ash'ari / Maturidi - Ta'wil
Later Ash'ari / Maturidi scholars said: Descent in Arabic for a body means moving from a higher place to a lower place, vacating the first place and occupying the second. This implies place, body, movement, and change. Allah is free from that, because Allah existed without place and does not change.

Allah says laysa ka-mithlihi shay - There is nothing like Him [42:11].
Therefore Nuzul cannot be taken on its apparent bodily meaning.

They give several ta'wils that are allowed in Arabic, all with the same purpose: It is Allah's Mercy, Command, or Angel that descends, by Allah's permission.

• Imam al-Khattabi, Ibn Hajar, al-Nawawi: Nuzul means the descent of Allah's Mercy, His Command, or His angels who convey the call. Arabs say "the Sultan descended" meaning his order or his mercy descended.

• Some said: It is an expression for Allah's closeness to the supplicants and His answering them, as in wa nahnu aqrabu ilayhi min habl al-warid.

• Another ta'wil: The meaning is isti'ara, a metaphor for Allah's gentleness and response at that time.

Their dalil:
• Logical: If Nuzul was physical movement, Allah would be above the Throne and then be below it in the lowest heaven, then go back up. That implies being contained by heavens and moving.

• Time-zone argument: The last third of the night happens at a different time in every part of the world. If taken literally as one movement, Allah would be descending all the time.

• Hadith wording: In some narrations of the same hadith, the wording is yunzilu Allahu malakan - Allah sends down an angel who says... This supports that what descends is an angel by Allah's command.

💎❤️‍🔥 Where does a heart weary from life find peace?

In Surah al-Baqarah.
In Tahajjud and standing in prayer at night.
In Salat al-Duha.
In frequent istighfar.
In saying La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.
In sending abundant salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ.
In reciting the Qur’an and listening to it.

True peace is found when the heart turns back to Allah. 🤍
