UK tax deduction is unbearable
Yesterday I received my payslip for June.
My reaction while looking at -
Salary section🤑 😅😀😃😅🥰😍🤩😘😇😎
Tax section 😬🤨😐😭🤒😫😩😤😠😡🤬😈👿
Paying 40% tax is not a comfortable amount for middle class earning people 🙄
Personal allowance should be £20k.
Someone asked me, why do you work hard?

Im all for girls dancing at mehndis and having a vibe.
But why have we made ourselves believe its OKAY to dance at the main weddings in front of a mixed crowd? When i was younger I thought our Bengali weddings were dead and not like Hindu ones with all their pre wesding events. I actually realise how that was the best thing now.
We are lowkey taking all the traditions from other cultures and passing it off as innocent fun. But I feel dancing in front of mixed folks at weddings is a no go for me. Mehndis? Go for it. Get lit. Even the whole Pakistani theme of having the flower wall in between. Its not Bengali tradition but we overused something thats got nothing to do with our culture.
We have such a beautiful Bengali culture. Lets use those things wisely at least for weddings. Lets leave the holy rituals of a wedding like that. Holy
