Got a marathon place via ballot ahhhhh alhamdulillah!! Never thought I’d get it as it’s only my second year entering and some have been trying for years. Now comes the tough bit… actually training for it. Keep me in your duas please. Anyone else got a place? Especially sisters

Perhaps the greatest pain is...that you prefer to smile in front of everyone, and then at the end of the night you collapse alone...💔

A lot of people share the concern that housing wealth creates very unequal starting points.
For example, if one person inherits a house worth £1 million and another starts with no assets, their financial situations can be dramatically different even if they earn similar salaries. Economists often refer to this as the importance of wealth (assets) versus income (earnings).
In many Western countries, housing has become a major source of household wealth because:
House prices have risen much faster than incomes in many cities.
Homeowners have benefited from decades of price appreciation.
Property can be passed to children through inheritance.
That can create a sense that opportunities are increasingly tied to whether your family already owns property.
At the same time, it's worth noting that not everyone in the West owns valuable property:
Many people rent throughout their lives.
Some homeowners still have large mortgages.
There are significant differences between expensive cities (like London, Vancouver, or Sydney) and less expensive regions.
Your broader point—that inherited wealth can shape life chances—is one that economists and policymakers actively debate. Questions around housing supply, taxation, inheritance, affordability, and intergenerational fairness are major political issues in countries like the UK, Canada, Australia, and others.

I look at my stories on insta/whatsapp of girls, all single, some who i dated and it didn't go anywhere, and some muslim work colleagues. I see stories of their cats, their dogs, holidays, food, random concerts. And its all on repeat cycles lol
So this is what single girls do who don't get married by their low 30s 🤣

A simple math is not mathing to me
You slept with whoever you wanted, you spent your life before marriage however you wanted, because that's your freedom. Alright, I accept every person is free to do whatever they want. But
My question is, then why you are looking for a person with clean background to get married to?
You are a man, you slept with hundreds of girls just to show your strength and manly freedom, but now you are looking for a girl who was never been in touch with men? Why?
Don't you think, she deserves a man who protected himself from manly desired sin???
Or
You are a modern educated woman, you decided to slept with men whoever you wanted just to show your smartness and freedom. But now you are waiting for a man who was never been in touch with girls? Why?
Don't you think he deserves a girl who protected herself from evil men's touch?
I understand, sometimes people decide to commit sins out of peer pressure, lack of education, lack of confidence, lack of awareness, lack of Iman.
So, it's better to accept someone who had similar life-styles and both are willing to be repented to create a beautiful family.
