Question of the Day
I recently had two conversations on Muzz that genuinely left me thinking, and I’d love to hear other people’s perspectives.
A bit of context..
My profile says I’m “Occasionally Practicing.” Both of these men sent me compliments first, and both had their profiles set to “Strictly Practicing.”
Scenario 1:
We had a really nice conversation for about 30–40 minutes. At one point, I mentioned that my work uniform includes a skirt/dress that falls below the knee. I asked whether that would be an issue for him, especially since he had mentioned he’d completed Hajj and had been for Umrah several times.
His response?
“It’s fine. Either way, once I’m your husband and you come home, that skirt/dress will either be around your waist or torn off from you”.
I was so shocked that I didn’t even reply. I simply unmatched.
Scenario 2:
After only three or four messages, he asked me, “How active will you be once married?”
I genuinely didn’t understand what he meant, so I asked him to clarify.
He then asked how many times a day I’d be intimate with him and whether I was dominant.
Again… I unmatched
Now here’s my question.
Do people assume that because someone isn’t “Strictly Practicing,” it’s somehow more acceptable to ask s*xually forward questions or make comments like these?
Or is this simply a dating app issue ?
*** I’m not saying these experiences represent everyone who identifies as “Strictly Practicing.” These are just two experiences I happened to have, but they’ve genuinely made me wonder whether I’m being perceived differently because my profile says “Occasionally Practicing.”
I’ve honestly been overthinking it ever since.
I’d love to hear respectful opinions from both men and women.
I’m genuinely curious to hear respectful opinions from both men and women.
