My Angel Musa

They say time heals,
but today, time has stopped.

A little boy with the biggest smile,
a heart full of mischief,
and a soul that made strangers smile.
Every room he entered became brighter,
every heart he touched became softer.

“Borosasa! Borosasa!”
I still hear your voice,
and I still turn around,
hoping you’ll come running towards me
with that cheeky grin that always got you out of trouble.

You were curious about everything,
fearless, full of life.
You’d open the neighbour’s freezer,
steal a strawberry,
drink a little orange juice,
smile innocently,
and somehow everyone forgave you.

You made us laugh.
You made us proud.
You made this world a better place.

I dreamed of watching you grow,
starting secondary school,
graduating from university,
finding a good wife,
becoming a father,
and one day laughing together about these childhood memories.

Instead,
I must prepare to say goodbye.

Only seven years.
Yet you gave us a lifetime of love.

Allah chose you early.
As painful as it is,
I pray He chose you because He loved you more.
In shaa Allah, you have gone to a place
where there is no fear,
no pain,
no tears,
only Jannah.

I am jealous in a way,
because I believe you have reached
the destination we all pray for.

But you left behind a wound
that words cannot describe.
A dagger in our hearts
that only Allah can heal.

Please make du’a for my beloved Musa,
for his parents,
for our family,
and for everyone who loved him.

And let his story remind us all:
life is fragile,
tomorrow is never promised,
so love your family,
forgive one another,
make memories,
and prepare to meet Allah.

Until we meet again, my beautiful nephew.

Sleep peacefully, my angel.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.

May Allah grant you the highest ranks of Jannatul Firdaus, forgive your shortcomings, widen your grave with light and mercy, reunite us with you in Paradise, and give strength and patience to everyone who loves you.

I’m thinking chicken pasta salad tomorrow for dinner. Allow eating iraqi food in this heat.

One thing I truly take pride in.. I average atleast one visit to the masjid daily..Days I don't leave my block are the exception..If I travel off the block....I'm making prayer in the masjid. .atleast once. As soon as I fix my schedule..I plan on walking to the masjid every morning for Farj...atleast till winter gets here... inshaallah
