I don’t just want to be loved. I want to be liked. I want a partner who is a fan of who I am.
This isn't about giving a pass to toxicity, abuse, cheating, and disrespect have no place here. It’s about navigating the messy reality of being human. When you’re a true fan, you get frustrated with the losses and the bad choices, but you rarely turn your back on the team.
Love alone can fade if you outgrow the original reason you fell in love. But when you genuinely like the person, you don't run at the first sign of friction. You give them space to stumble, you hold them accountable, and you keep them close while they find their footing.

I think we’re at an interesting point in history where more men are fine with the idea of dying unmarried and childless. The historical male obsession with lineage is much less pronounced today. It’s an interesting phenomenon to witness.
