Good morning✨️
Reflecting on a discussion I had with friends yesterday on feeling like life is blooming, it prompted us to compare the awe and enthusiasm we had as kids to the present. They were saying how they don't think life feels as magical anymore as they don't have that same sense of wonder, that reality somewhat gets in the way as you mature or get older.

In my opinion, the feelings of magic from barakah doesn't stop in life at a certain age or stage. We're continuously blessed with gifts throughout life, alhamdulillah. That feeling of magic is constantly found through appreciation for what one has been blessed with or through contentedness. In my case, I find thrill, wonder, curiosity and knowledge in the experiences I go through and the adventures I go on. Things like simply spending quality time with family and friends too, that often makes life feel magical.

Life might feel like it's becoming more calm and steady, but it's the way one shapes their mindset. We're constantly blessed even in the simplest of forms, seeking knowledge, moving with tawakkul, evolving, healing and developing- those itself are miracles, subhanAllah. Sometimes it's even in making effort to make life feel more meaningful: actively seek the good and the adventures. There's so much beauty to be found in the present moment of where we're at.

That being said, we all have unique experiences and mindsets; that alone is wonderful, that the little details of our lives are so vastly different. Alhamdulillah

Sidenote: I'm mentioning magic in the sense of describing feelings of awe and wonder, not the literal sense. Miracles, new experiences and whatnot.

Dude what is with the blatant misogyny by some guys here? I've been on this app for a bit more than a day and the feed been pushing lots of redpill dawa bros preaching all this toxic masculinity stuff. Like are you for real? Why are you so hell bent on staying stuck in the dark ages and not accept to treat women as equals?

This is so disheartening to see men of this generation being this toxic, were supposed to be the generation that doesn't repeat the mistakes and toxicity of our parents and grandparents and those before them.

If the law in my country only allows one legal spouse, is it reasonable that I insist on an official, legally registered marriage only?

My father and two bro in laws went camping.
They shared this beautiful capture of the sunset.
SubhanAllah!

I finally understand why the search is so draining (especially here on Muzz). I'm expected to put in twice the emotional labor I give at work (and at work, at least I get paid).
Wanting to meet someone halfway a bridge but what I keep finding is people who litter it.

And the irony is that I have so much going on. Books to finish, games on pause, countless series I've been meaning to continue watching, Museums to visit, parks to explore, a whole world that's rich and full and genuinely mine and mind you, I feel like fiction kind of warped my idea of sharing it all with someone but when I started doing the actual search? Depressing. It feels like a man would prefer for me to give up what I love and fully flatten myself into a role, to just "cook, clean, deliver children, manage a home", bonus point if i look after their aging parents as if I don't got my own aging parents. Then where is the time for whimsy? There is...none.

So the math doesn't add up: I have to work hard to find someone, then work harder to keep them, all for the privilege of carrying double the load for a person who couldn't even meet me at the middle of the beautiful bridge I built my whole life. I'd rather drive them out.

TL:DR talking to potentials here feels a lot like this honestly
