There is a profound mention in Islam about a realm called Alam-e-Arwah, where all the souls that would ever exist once resided. In that sacred space, each soul was shown a glimpse of their life in this world, a vivid picture of the journey they would undertake. It is said that we were given free will: the choice to bypass the trials of this world and go directly to paradise or to embrace life in this world as a test of faith, patience, and endurance.

And yet, knowing the trials, the uncertainties, and the struggles, we chose this life. We saw something in it, something so beautiful, so meaningful, that it outweighed the ease of bypassing it entirely.

I often wonder, what was it? What did I see in that divine moment that made me choose to step into this life? What exactly made me want to live this life? This question lingers in my heart, a reminder that there must be something extraordinary in this life, something I once deemed worth the journey.
