I genuinely don’t understand why so many people treat Jamaa as an extension of Muzz. Even the platforms describe themselves differently.

If you choose to use Jamaa to look for a spouse, that’s completely your choice. But why criticise or police people who are using the platform exactly as it was designed to be used? Not every post, joke, or conversation is a matrimonial audition.

Yes, finding a spouse is a noble intention. I was on Muzz with genuine intentions too. Look where that disappointment brought me. 😭

At this point, I don’t even care about making friends anymore. I just want to exist in my own little corner of the internet, write nonsense, make jokes, and entertain myself. If other people happen to laugh along, great. If not, that’s fine too.

Life already comes with enough responsibilities, expectations, and adulting outside this app. I don’t need strangers importing that same energy into a space where I’m simply trying to unwind.

What I find amusing is how quickly some people assign hidden motives to complete strangers. If someone says they’re just here to socialise, maybe believe them instead of insisting they’re secretly prospect hunting. Not everyone is looking at every interaction through the lens of marriage. Some people are exactly what they say they are. Not everyone is using Jamaa the way you are.

Stop projecting your intentions onto everyone else. Sometimes a social platform is just… a social platform. And sometimes people are just trying to exist without every joke, post, or conversation being turned into a cry for attention or character assessment or a marriage interview.

Just let people exist. Duh! 🙄
