Let’s talk money vs happiness…

A thought from something I experienced today.

I was invited to a college for a panel discussion. There was no payment involved, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting any. The recognition, respect, visibility and the warmth I received genuinely made me happy.

Got a lovely hamper too, so technically I didn’t come home empty handed. 🙈😂

It got me thinking…

We work hard to earn money because ultimately we believe money will make our lives better and happier.

But what if the work you do already gives you happiness, purpose and contentment, even if it doesn’t make you rich?

I’ve always loved teaching, educating people about health and giving back in whatever way I can. The feedback, love and respect I receive from people genuinely makes me feel fulfilled.

Don’t get me wrong, I love money too. 😂 And of course, we all need enough to live well and feel secure.

But, is life more about becoming richer… or feeling content with the life you’re living?

Would you choose work that makes you genuinely happy with just enough money, or work that makes you rich but gives you little fulfilment?

Not sure there’s one right answer. Would genuinely love to hear different perspectives.

Never be afraid to ask for help.
