This is just a reminder that, with the weather getting warmer and many of us going off to the beach to relax and enjoy the good weather.
Please teach your kids that ocean/river/lake water isn't the same as swimming pool water where nothing can happen.
We have had so many deaths in the sea/rivers, due to people not understanding that the sea isn't a safe place to swim, particularly when you're not familiar with that beach and its surroundings.
Sadly, some people choose to ignore lifeguards' warnings and put their lives at risk, causing distress to everyone about.
Sadly, adults have died trying to rescue people who either ignore warnings or don't fully understand how dangerous the sea can be.
Nothing wrong with enjoying seawater, but we need to stay at a safe distance when there is high tide about.
When we visit beaches we need to do a little research about the safety of the surrounding area.
