Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The good life we have experienced is through patience.”
He also said: “The good life we have experienced is a life of patience, and if patience were a human being, he would be the most generous.”
Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Indeed, patience is to faith as the head is to the body. If the head is cut off, the body is destroyed.” That is, if there is no patience, faith or belief is also destroyed.
Then he said loudly: “Indeed, he who does not have patience does not have faith.”
He also said: “Patience is a vehicle that never stumbles.”
Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Patience is a treasure of goodness that Allah Almighty grants only to those of His servants whom He deems worthy.”
Umar ibn Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “If Allah takes away a blessing from a servant of His and gives him patience in return, then patience is better.”
Sulaiman ibn al-Qasim said: “The reward of all deeds except patience is known.”
“Only the patient will be given their reward in abundance without reckoning.” (39-Surah Az-Zumar: Verse-10)
