Be grateful for what you have. Praise Allah for the things you wanted that you didn't get. Because even though He didn't give it to you, He knew you were not worthy of it. Sometimes Allah's Mercy, is when He takes things from you, even if you feel a little confused, He does it anyway because it would've ruined you. Through lessons and simple thought, He fixes your vision, and reinstates your reasoning to show you why He put you through those trials and tribulations. But most of the time, He actually gives you the things that you don't deserve. He gives you blessings that are so enumerous you can't even count. Although we commit sin, He doesn't call us out for it. This is a beautiful blessing all on its own. In all fairness, He would have punished us if He wanted to, but because of His infinitely Mercy, He didn't.
The reality is that, He doesn't expose us, but wipes away our sins gives us a clean slate and rewrites it with good deeds. The most loving thing is that He gives the same Mercy to those who refuse to repent. That is what you call grace.
Turn back because His door is wide open. Even though you fail, trust in Him. He always ready and waiting to forgive you.
