Marriage is half our Deen 🤲 From wedding planning to relationship and marriage advice, share all your marriage related experiences here with our friendly community ❤️
Not everyone you meet is meant to stay, but some people leave a calm feeling you can’t explain.
Be kind, stay real, and let life do the rest
I'm interested in a childfree marriage. It could be okay if the other person has already children (but it depends on the situation), but i don't want to have kids on my own. Read the profile bio, please.
One of the most exhausting things a person can do is spend years trying to earn kindness from someone who has already decided not to give it.
Not because they’re asking for too much, but because kindness, respect, and consideration were never meant to be things that had to be earned in the first place.
Some people will take love, effort, patience, and understanding, yet still leave others searching for the very things they give so freely.
Peace begins when people stop chasing what should have been given willingly, accept what they cannot change, and leave the rest to Allah.
Not every heart can be changed.
Not every wound can be explained.
Some burdens become lighter the moment they are placed in Allah’s hands.
The Road Not Taken Is Destroying Modern Marriage
Kierkegaard once said:
“The path not taken has a way of looking more beautiful the longer you stare at it.”
And that single observation explains more about modern divorce than most relationship experts ever will.
Because the greatest threat to your marriage is no longer the person you’re married to.
It’s the person you never chose.
Let’s break it down.
—
The ex you never married.
The crush you never pursued.
The coworker who smiles too much.
The guy in her DMs.
The woman from your gym.
The stranger on Instagram living a perfectly filtered life.
The road not taken never has bills.
Never has arguments.
Never has responsibilities.
That’s why it looks beautiful.
Reality has flaws.
Fantasy doesn’t.
—
For most of human history,
your options were limited.
Now?
A woman can open her phone and see thousands of men before breakfast.
Successful men.
Athletic men.
Funny men.
Wealthy men.
And slowly a dangerous thought enters her mind:
“What if I can do better?”
Not because her husband failed.
Because comparison never ends.
And once comparison begins,
contentment dies.
—
The problem isn’t another man.
The problem is an imaginary man.
A man with:
– no flaws
– no bad habits
– no stress
– no weaknesses
A man who exists only in her imagination.
Now her real husband is being compared
to a fictional character.
And no real man wins that competition.
—
Every difficult season now comes with an escape hatch.
One argument?
Someone else is available.
One boring month?
Someone else is texting.
One rough year?
Someone else is liking photos.
The modern woman doesn’t just have a husband.
She has constant reminders that alternatives exist.
And many marriages die because people keep staring at exits instead of fixing the house.
—
Here’s the irony.
The woman she envies is looking at another woman’s life too.
The man she thinks is perfect is disappointing someone else.
The marriage she wants from a distance
looks very different up close.
Because every road eventually becomes ordinary.
Every relationship eventually becomes work.
Every marriage eventually requires sacrifice.
The grass isn’t greener.
You’re just standing too far away to see the weeds.
—
Final Word
The road not taken is destroying modern marriage.
Not because better options exist.
Because people can’t stop staring at them.
And the longer you stare at another path,
the more you’ll resent the one you’re walking.
That’s why so many people leave good marriages.
Not because they found something better.
Because they became convinced something better existed.
But life has a cruel sense of humor.
The moment they leave,
the new road becomes reality.
And reality always looks different
than it did in the imagination.
That’s why wisdom isn’t choosing the perfect path.
It’s learning to stop romanticizing the paths you never took.
Because most people don’t lose their marriages to another person.
They lose them to a fantasy.

I usually don’t share my thoughts on these platforms, but I’ve noticed a similar phenomenon. It’s like what happens in Pakistan with PTI’s misguided trolls, or in the US with frustrated MAGA followers, where they sometimes resort to vulgarity and disrespect . It seems to be happening here too….
I am from Afghanistan and I am looking for a respectful and kind person. Life is precious, and I would like to share it with a woman who values mutual respect and understanding. I want us to support each other, live happily together, stay away from unnecessary problems, and spend our time with love and care.
Hi I’m new here and I don’t know what’s going on🤣 this feels more like a insta comment section
