I'm swiping left on about 95% of women on this app, and I've encountered some genuinely awful profiles..

1. The vast majority of these "Muslim" women show serious immodesty and tabarruj. I'm not simply talking about not wearing hijab, I'm talking about having photos with stomach and thighs exposed.

2. I've seen far too many profiles where women are posing closely with other men. In what world is that supposed to be attractive to a Muslim man looking for marriage??

3. Heavily filtered photos are genuinely misleading and I cannot as a man distinguish between real photos and filtered ones (skill issue?? 🤦‍♂️). I have had some good interactions on this app until I FaceTime with permission from their wali and 9 times out 10 they would look nothing like the pictures..

4. Some profiles have unrealistic demands while saying almost nothing about what the person herself brings to a marriage. Constant references to luxury and being "spoiled" immediately make the profile look materialistic.

5. Why can't yall just be normal??

This has just been my experience as a man on this app, I am sure the quality of men isn't any better if not worse. Maybe the sisters can share some of their experiences in the comments. May Allah SW make it easy for everyone serious to find a good spouse. Ameen.
