From the Wednesday supplication of Imam Musa al-Kazim (peace be upon him):

“O Allah, grant me the sweetness of faith, the taste of forgiveness, the delight of Islam, and the coolness and comfort of life after death, for none possesses that except You.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from going astray or causing others to go astray; from slipping or causing others to slip; from being wronged or wronging others; from acting ignorantly or having ignorance directed against me; and from committing injustice or having injustice committed against me.

Take me out of this world with my sins forgiven and my deeds accepted. Give me my record in my right hand, and gather me among the company of the Prophet Muhammad may Allah bless him and his family and grant them abundant peace.”

من دعاء يوم الأربعاء للامام الكاظم عليه السلام:

"اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي حَلَاوَةَ الْإِيمَانِ وَ طَعْمَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ وَ لَذَّةَ الْإِسْلَامِ وَ بَرْدَ الْعَيْشِ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ إِنَّهُ لَا يَمْلِكُ ذَلِكَ غَيْرُكَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَضِلَّ أَوْ أُضِلَّ أَوْ أَذِلَّ أَوْ أُذِلَّ أَوْ أُظْلَمَ أَوْ أَظْلِمَ أَوْ أَجْهَلَ أَوْ يُجْهَلَ عَلَيَّ أَوْ أَجُورَ أَوْ يُجَارَ عَلَيَّ أَخْرِجْنِي مِنَ الدُّنْيَا مَغْفُوراً لِي ذَنْبِي مَقْبُولًا لِي عَمَلِي وَ أَعْطِنِي كِتَابِي بِيَمِينِي وَ احْشُرْنِي فِي زُمْرَةِ النَّبِيِّ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ كَثِيراً"

“I don’t miss the pain, but sometimes I miss the person I was before I experienced it.”

It is narrated from Imam al-Baqir (peace be upon him):

“Indeed, I dislike a man who is lazy in attending to the affairs of his worldly life. Whoever is lazy regarding the affairs of his worldly life will be even lazier regarding the affairs of his Hereafter.”

"إنّي لَأُبغِضُ الرجُلَ أن يَكونَ كَسلانَ عن أمرِ دُنياهُ، ومَن كَسِلَ عَن أمرِ دُنياهُ فهُو عن أمرِ آخرتِهِ أكسَلُ."

From the Morning Supplication (Du‘a al-Sabah) of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him):

There is no god but You. Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. Who is there that knows Your true measure and does not fear You? And who is there that knows what You are and does not stand in awe of You?

By Your power, You have brought together the separated groups; by Your gentleness, You have split open the dawn; by Your generosity, You have illuminated the dark depths of night; and You have caused waters to flow from solid, towering rocks sweet and salty. You have sent down abundant, pouring rain from the rain-bearing clouds, and You have made the sun and the moon blazing lamps for creation, without experiencing weariness or exertion in what You originated.

O You who are unique in might and everlastingness, and who have subdued Your servants through death and extinction, bless Muhammad and his pure, God-fearing family. Hear my call, answer my supplication, and by Your grace fulfill my hope and expectation.

لا إلهَ إلاّ أنتَ سُبحانَكَ اللّهُمَّ وَبِحَمدِكَ مَن ذا يَعرِفُ قَدرَكَ فَلا يَخافُكَ، وَمَن ذا يَعلَمُ ما أنتَ فَلا يَهابُكَ، ألَّفتَ بِقُدرَتِكَ الفِرَقَ، وَفَلَقتَ بِلُطفِكَ الفَلَقَ، وَأنَرتَ بِكَرَمِكَ دَياجِي الغَسَقِ، وَأنهَرتَ المِياهَ مِنَ الصُّمِّ الصَّياخيدِ عَذباً وَاُجاجاً، وَأنزَلتَ مِنَ المُعصِراتِ ماءً ثَجّاجاً، وَجَعَلتَ الشَّمسَ وَالقَمَرَ لِلبَرِيَّةِ سِراجاً وَهّاجاً مِن غَيرِ أن تُمارِسَ فيما ابتَدَأتَ بِهِ لُغُوباً وَلا عِلاجاً،

فَيا مَن تَوَحَّدَ بِالعِزِّ وَالبَقاءِ، وَقَهَرَ عِبادَهُ بِالمَوتِ وَالفَناءِ
صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ الأتقِياءِ،
وَاسمَع نِدائي وَاستَجِب دُعائي
وَحَقِّق بِفَضلِكَ أمَلي وَرَجائي.

پانچ لاکھ کا کھانا
گھڑی پہنائی

انگوٹھی پہنائی

مکلاوے کے دن کا کھانا

ولیمے کے دن کا ناشتہ

پھر بیٹی کو رخصت کیا تو سب سسرالیوں میں کپڑے بھیجنا

برات کو جاتے ہوئے بھی ساتھ میں کھانا بھیجنا

بیٹی ہے یا کوئی سزا ہے؟

اور یہ سب تب سے شروع ہو جاتا ہے جب منگنی کر دی جاتی ہے۔ کبھی نند آرہی ہے کبھی جیٹھانی آرہی ہے کبھی چاچی ساس آرہی ہے کبھی ممانی ساس آ رہی ہے۔ ٹولیاں بنا کے آتی ہیں اور بیٹی کی ماں ایک مصنوعی مسکراہٹ چہرے پر سجائے سب کو اعلی سے اعلی کھانا پیش کرتی ہے اور سب کو اچھے طریقے سے ویلکم کرتی ہے۔

باپ کا ایک ایک بال قرضے میں ڈوب جاتا ہے اور ایسے میں بیس لوگ گھیرے میں لے کے کہتے ہیں جی کتنے بندے برات میں ساتھ لے کر آئے 100یا 200 بندہ تو ہمارے اپنے رشتے دار ہی ہیں۔

اور باپ جب گھر آتا ہے شام کو تو بیٹی سر دبانے بیٹھ جاتی ہے کہ اس باپ کا بال بال میری وجہ سے قرضے میں ہے۔

خدارا ان رسموں کو ختم کر دو تاکہ ہر باپ اپنی بیٹی کو عزت کے ساتھ رخصت کر سکے

اپنی بیٹی کو لالچیوں کے سپرد نہ کریں

It is narrated that Imam al-Baqir (peace be upon him) said to Jabir al-Ju‘fi:

“O Jabir, convey my greetings of peace to my Shi‘a, and inform them that there is no kinship between us and Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, and that no one can draw near to Him except through obedience to Him.

O Jabir, whoever obeys Allah and loves us is our follower and ally, but whoever disobeys Allah, his love for us will not benefit him.”

روي عن الإمام الباقر عليه السلام:

"لجابرٍ الجُعْفيِّ:

يا جابرُ، بَلِّغْ شِيعَتي عَنّي السَّلامَ، وأعْلِمهُم أنَّهُ لا قَرابَةَ بَيْنَنا وبَينَ اللَّهِ ‏عزّ وجلّ، ولا يُتَقرَّبُ إلَيهِ إلّا بالطَّاعةِ لَهُ.

يا جابرُ، مَن أطاعَ اللَّهَ وأحَبَّنا فهُو وليُّنا، ومَن عَصى‏ اللَّهَ لَم يَنْفَعْهُ حُبُّنا."

From the morning supplication of Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn Zayn al-Abidin (peace be upon him):

“We have entered the morning, and all things in their entirety have entered the morning belonging to You: their heavens and their earth, and all that You have spread throughout each of them the still and the moving, the resident and the departing, whatever rises in the air, and whatever lies hidden beneath the soil.

We have entered the morning within Your grasp. Your dominion and authority encompass us, and Your will surrounds us. We act according to Your command and move within Your governance. We possess nothing of our affairs except what You have decreed, and nothing of good except what You have granted.

This is a newly arrived day, and it is a witness ever present over us. If we do good, it will bid us farewell with praise; and if we do wrong, it will depart from us with blame.

O Allah, bless Muhammad and his family, and grant us the grace to accompany this day well. Protect us from parting with it badly by committing an offense or perpetrating any sin, small or great.

Bestow upon us abundant good deeds during it, keep us free from evil deeds, and fill the time between its two ends with praise, gratitude, reward, provision stored for the Hereafter, grace, and benevolence.”

أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَتِ الاَشْياءُ كُلُّهَا بِجُمْلَتِهَا لَكَ: سَمَاؤُها وَأَرْضُهَا وَمَا بَثَثْتَ فِي كُلِّ وَاحِد مِنْهُمَا سَاكِنُهُ وَمُتَحَرِّكُهُ وَمُقِيمُهُ وَشَاخِصُهُ وَمَا عَلا فِي الْهَواءِ وَمَا كَنَّ تَحْتَ الثَّرى. أَصْبَحْنَا فِي قَبْضَتِكَ يَحْوِينَا مُلْكُكَ وَسُلْطَانُكَ وَتَضُمُّنَا مَشِيَّتُكَ، وَنَتَصَرَّفُ عَنْ أَمْرِكَ، وَنَتَقَلَّبُ فِيْ تَدْبِيرِكَ. لَيْسَ لَنَا مِنَ الامْرِ إلاّ مَا قَضَيْتَ وَلا مِنَ الْخَيْـرِ إلا مَـا أَعْطَيْتَ. وَهَذَا يَوْمٌ حَادِثٌ جَدِيدٌ، وَهُوَ عَلَيْنَا شَاهِدٌ عَتِيدٌ ، إنْ أحْسَنَّا وَدَّعَنَا بِحَمْد، وَإِنْ أسَأنا فارَقَنا بِذَمّ اللَّهُمَ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَد وَآلِـهِ وَارْزُقْنَـا حُسْنَ مُصَاحَبَتِهِ وَاعْصِمْنَا مِنْ سُوْءِ مُفَارَقَتِهِ بِارْتِكَابِ جَرِيرَة، أَوِ اقْتِرَافِ صَغِيرَة أوْ كَبِيرَة. وَأجْزِلْ لَنَا فِيهِ مِنَ الْحَسَناتِ وَأَخْلِنَا فِيهِ مِنَ السَّيِّئاتِ. وَامْلا لَنَا مَا بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهِ حَمْداً وَشُكْراً وَأجْراً وَذُخْراً وَفَضْلاً وَإحْسَاناً.
