The 30s

What subjects should you talk about on a first date?

29 years old…
30 is loading. ⏳

And somehow, it’s hitting harder than I expected.

Are we still allowed to be crazy?
Spontaneous? Silly?
To do stupid things just because they make us laugh—without being judged or shamed because “you’re too old for that now”?

Are we still allowed to relive pieces of a childhood we never really got to have?

Are we still allowed to make new friends?
Have sleepovers at their places?
Stay out until 5 AM talking, laughing, doing absolutely nothing important?

Are we still allowed to just… live?

Or does turning 30 come with this invisible label:

You’re an adult now. Act like one.

Get married.
Become an ATM.
Have kids.
Pay bills.
Work.
Get older.
Get sick.
Die.

Like there’s one predetermined track we’re all supposed to follow—whether it makes us happy or not.

I don’t want to become soulless just because I’m getting older.

I still want to be spontaneous.
I still want to be stupid sometimes.
I still want adventures, friendships, late nights, random plans, and stories that make absolutely no sense the next morning.

I still want to feel alive.

So, people who crossed 30…

Did you actually grow out of these things?

Or did you just stop caring about what society thinks you’re “supposed” to be?29 years old… and 30 is loading. ⏳

Lately, life just feels heavier than usual.
The overthinking, the pressure, wondering if I’m where I’m supposed to be… it hits hard.

Anyone else go through this before turning 30?
How did you deal with it?

Sometimes I think we’re so focused on finding someone who ticks all the right boxes that we forget one simple thing how it feels to be around them.

The person you can talk to for hours without forcing the conversation. The one you can disagree with without it becoming a battle. The one who makes ordinary things feel easy.

Maybe that matters more than having the “perfect” profile. 🤍

What do you think about the social media saying that being single at a mature age and using dating apps means there's something wrong with that person ? Disclaimer: I certainly don't think so, i just want to ask opinion.
