The Prophet (ﷺ) warned against disclosing sins that Allah has kept hidden, noting that those who expose their own concealed sins remove the screening protection of Allah, as detailed in [Sahih al-Bukhari 6069] and [Sahih Muslim 2990]
O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy..."
— Surah Al-Hujurat 49:12
Application to Marriage: Islamic jurists leverage this verse to affirm that a husband or suitor is strictly forbidden from "spying" or interrogating a partner about their past.
Yet, we have people here who do so in the name of honesty..
Demi -Gods trying to pry into what even Allah has concealed and they call themselves Muslims 🤦🏻‍♀️
And before you' all start a Trollers MARD MARCH against me.. let me quote
Islam teaches that true repentance completely absolves the past, with the Prophet (ﷺ) stating that the one who repents from sin is like one without sin. Because a repented sin is spiritually erased before Allah, it is not the rightful business of a spouse to investigate or demand its revelation.
And again this implies to BOTH men and Women..
