Today I'm a bit happy because my big boss, a director in my company, insisted on ensuring I got an assistant since I was overwhelmed with tasks. Being a manager is not easy, especially when I'm handling multiple entities from different countries.
Then the director also told my HR to expedite hiring because I'm valuable to the company 🫶🏻🥹
After getting rejected left and right by some worthless guys in my dating life, a simple appreciation from a big boss, who probably only sees the surface of what I'm doing, was very impactful. To the point that I got sleepy at 9 p.m. Before this, I was so anxious and full of adrenaline, constantly thinking about work I can only fall asleep around 1am before this. A simple compliment could make me relax.
I nearly fell in love today but my weird attitude and principles saved me😂

One uncomfortable question I've been asking myself lately:
Do I really not have time?
Or have I simply lost track of where my time is going?
Sometimes we say:
📚 I don't have time to learn.
📖 I don't have time to read Qur'an.
🤲 I don't have time for extra worship.
💪 I don't have time for my health.
But then the screen-time report arrives...

Hours of scrolling.
Hours of videos.
Hours of content I can't even remember watching.
سبحان اللہ
The problem is not always a lack of time.
Sometimes it's a lack of intentionality.
A pure heart never gets enough of what benefits it.
Just as some people can't wait to open social media, imagine if our hearts felt that same excitement for Qur'an, dhikr, knowledge, and worship.
May Allah ﷻ purify our hearts, bless our time, and protect us from wasting our lives on things that will not benefit us in this dunya or the akhirah. آمین
