Honestly, if you’ve spent at least a month on this app and still haven’t found someone you can do life with for the sake of Allah, then maybe we need to ask ourselves some sincere questions.

This platform brings Muslims together from different parts of the world, races, and backgrounds. With all these opportunities to connect, if you can’t find someone and nobody can find you, perhaps it’s time to look inward.

Are you really ready for marriage? Are you approachable? Are your expectations realistic?

You can’t keep looking for someone while making it difficult for the right person to find you.

May Allah guide us to the right people and grant us spouses with whom we can build a peaceful life and grow together in Deen. Ameen.

So, I just came online now and found out that this man I just started talking to has been removed from my page. 😂 It’s funny, right?

I think we started chatting yesterday, and we were both open to getting to know each other. Earlier today, we just finished our proper introductions.

This man asked if I could visit him in Abeokuta and also requested my WhatsApp number.

My response was:

WhatsApp: No for now. I prefer we stay connected here until we know each other better and define things properly.

Abeokuta: Yes, I’m open to meeting, but I would prefer we meet outside Abeokuta for now. One, I don’t live in Abeokuta. Two, I believe it would be better for us to meet halfway or for him to come to my area, since we’re a bit far from each other.

Not because a woman shouldn’t visit a man’s area, but because I believe our first meeting should be convenient for both of us. We should be able to meet in an open, comfortable place and easily return home that same day. That’s just my belief.

This man is older than me, too. I think he’s 38, while I’m 27.

I’m just wondering because I never thought these things would lead to an unmatch. We were cool, and the conversation wasn’t forced from either side.

But then, we’re two different people, and I believe that’s what alignment is about. An opportunity to move closer to someone who actually aligns with us.
