Weddings have become what they have become.
In many places, we have adopted so much from cultures around us while giving very little attention to the guidance of Islam.
We spend heavily to impress people.
We compete over venues, decorations, clothes, photography, food, and appearances.
Sometimes the wedding becomes more about showing the world than beginning a marriage with Allah at the center.
But marriage is not a competition.
A wedding does not need to put a newly married couple into unnecessary debt.
It does not need extravagance, pride, or pressure to prove that the marriage is valuable.
Islam teaches us to seek barakah, not merely beauty in the eyes of people.
Let us return to what is pleasing to Allah:
simplicity, modesty, sincerity, halal celebration, family, responsibility, and gratitude.
The most beautiful wedding is not necessarily the most expensive one.
The real beauty begins after the guests leave, the decorations come down, and the husband and wife are alone together trying to build a life upon obedience to Allah.
May Allah guide us to distinguish between culture and revelation, between showing off and sincerity, and between impressing people and seeking His pleasure.
May Allah bless our marriages, make them a source of sakīnah, mawaddah and raḥmah, and give us the strength to do things in the way that pleases Him.
Āmīn. 🤲🏽

Dear Future Habibti,
Immediately I wake up, I pray, then I prepare breakfast for you because you weren't feeling too well. 🥹❤️
After making sure everything was ready, I went back to sleep thinking I had done my husband duties for the morning. 😂
Then this woman came and woke me up:
“Wake up. We are eating together.” 😭
I said, “I'm not hungry.”
She looked at me and said:
“Open your mouth. Let me feed you.” 😭😭😂
At that point, I realized something…
I was trying to take care of my future wife, but apparently my future wife had already decided that she would take care of me too. 😂❤️
And honestly, that's the kind of marriage I pray for.
Not just:
“I cooked for you.”
But:
“Did you eat?”
“Are you okay?”
“Come, let's eat together.”
“You look tired.”
“Rest, I'll handle this.”
Two people caring for each other.
Two people making each other laugh.
Two people reminding each other about Ṣalāh.
Two people making duʿā’ for one another.
Two people trying to become better Muslims together.
Because I don't want a marriage where only one person gives love.
I want us to take care of each other.
Dear future Habibti…
If you ever tell me “Open your mouth, let me feed you,” just know I'm probably going to laugh first. 😭😂
But I'll open it. 😂❤️
May Allah bless us with a marriage filled with mawaddah, raḥmah, sakīnah and barakah, and make us a source of comfort for each other in this dunya and a reason for each other to reach Jannah.
Āmīn. ❤️

“Why is Allah delaying things for me?”
Maybe that isn't the right question.
The better question is:
“When Allah makes me wait, how will I respond?”
Will I become impatient?
Will I complain?
Will I lose hope?
Or will I respond with ṣabr, tawakkul and trust in Allah?
Look at the life of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
There were times when he had to wait. There were times of hardship, sadness, uncertainty and trials.
And Allah revealed:☝️☝️
“Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor does He hate you.”
📖📚 Qur’an 93:3📖📚
The waiting was not proof that Allah had abandoned His Messenger ﷺ.
Sometimes, the waiting itself is part of the test.
If Muhammad ﷺ had to wait…
If Yusuf عليه السلام had to wait…
If Musa عليه السلام had to wait…
If Ayyub عليه السلام endured years of hardship…
Then why do we think our lives must happen instantly?
You make duʿā’ today and expect the answer tomorrow.
You want the marriage now.
The job now.
The money now.
The healing now.
The opportunity now.
The breakthrough now.
But Allah knows what you don't know.
Allah's giving is mercy, and His withholding can also be mercy.
When Ar-Raḥmān withholds something from you, don't immediately assume that you are being deprived.
Perhaps He is protecting you.
Perhaps He is preparing you.
Perhaps the timing is not right.
Perhaps what you are asking for would harm you if you received it too soon.
And perhaps one day you will look back and say:
“Alḥamdulillāh… now I understand why Allah made me wait.”
This dunya was never designed for instant gratification.
It is a place of tests, trials, patience and preparation for the Ākhirah.
There are no “one-day delivery” promises in life.
So keep making duʿā’.
Keep praying.
Keep working.
Keep taking the halal means.
Keep your heart attached to Allah.
And when the answer takes longer than you expected, don't abandon your tawakkul.
Delay is not necessarily denial.
Sometimes Allah is teaching you how to trust Him before He teaches you how to receive what you asked for.
May Allah grant us beautiful ṣabr, strengthen our tawakkul, protect our hearts from despair, and give us what is truly خير for our dunya and our Ākhirah.
Āmīn.
Allah knows best.

DEAR SPOUSES
Did you know that it is permissible for a husband and wife to bathe together, even when performing ghusl from janābah?
The Prophet ﷺ and ʿĀ’ishah رضي الله عنها used to bathe from the same vessel.
It is narrated that ʿĀ’ishah رضي الله عنها said:🗣️📌
“I used to bathe with the Prophet ﷺ from one vessel, and our hands would alternate in it.”
📚📖 Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī📖📚
So yes, spouses may share the same container or water while bathing, and there is nothing shameful about it between husband and wife.
Marriage gives spouses a private space of affection, comfort and intimacy that does not need to be exposed to other people.
Some couples may feel shy about such things, and that's perfectly understandable. Islam does not require spouses to have the same level of comfort with every private matter.
The important thing is that husband and wife treat one another with love, modesty and respect.
May Allah bless our marriages with love, mercy, affection and sakīnah.
Wallāhu Aʿlam.

🌙❤️ THE BEAUTY OF SURAH AL-KAFIRUN
Surah Al-Kafirun teaches us the beauty of being firm in our faith and sincere in our worship of Allah. It reminds us that we should never compromise our deen just to please people or fit into the world.
“For you is your religion, and for me is my religion.”
📖 Qur’an 109:6
May Allah keep our hearts firm upon Tawheed, strengthen our iman, protect us from anything that takes us away from Him, and grant us sincerity in everything we do. 🤲🏽❤️
Ameen ya Rabb 🤲🏽
