A righteous wife is one of life’s greatest blessings. Someone who brings you closer to Allah, gives you peace of mind, stands by you through every hardship, and builds a home with you upon love, faith, and mercy. May Allah bless us with spouses who are a source of peace in this life and a means of entering Jannah together 🤍

Salam,
Why do I notice such a big difference in mindset between some Somali men who grew up in Somalia and those who grew up in Europe? I know not everyone is the same, but I struggle with the way some men view women, especially divorced women and single mothers.
The judgment, the lack of understanding, and the idea that a woman’s worth decreases because she has a child or a failed marriage genuinely frustrate me. A woman’s past does not define her value, and being a single mother or divorced should never be a reason to look down on her.
For me, it comes down to respect, empathy, and how a man views women’s rights and independence.
Have other Somali women noticed this difference too, or is it just me?
