Trust the Almighty’s timing. Only He knows why you're in the state you are for so long. Perhaps the delay in answering your prayer is better for you than getting what you want now. He is the Best Planner🍀

My dad never spoke to me about marriage. Nor how I needed to become "an obedient wife". Never.

But each time before school, I got to hear about the economy and politics and his hate for the US and Khaleej government (especially Saudi). And his predictions on the economy...

You can only imagine my boredom as a teenager, but I'm crying as an adult.

He reminded me "you need to question your teachers, and bring new ideas, questions, are really important." Growing up, I was too shy with some type of selective mutism. And I always felt like i was dumb, to this day.

When he got called many times at school because I used to be hypersensitive and they thought "i was being abused at home" he said "that's just the way she is".

Last few sentences I remember before he got truly sick and forgot me were, him telling people "she has a lot in her head, she will go far." (I never did dad. Because my mental health ruined me, and I had to dissociate to survive mentally).

This passage here, kinda reminds me of his words... i can't stop crying. (I read the book 3 years ago btw).

"I know you're still young but I want you to understand and learn this now. Marriage can wait, education cannot. You're a very very bright girl. Truly you are. You can be anything you want Laila. I know this about you. And I also know that when this war is over Afghanistan is going to need you as much as its men maybe even more. Because a society has no chance of success if its women are uneducated Laila. No chance."

I think I ruined my day.

✍ When you need recognition to take action and add value, you may need to question your motives. When external validation becomes the only way to recognize the value of your contributions, you risk losing sight of your own impact. Recognition should reinforce your value, not determine it.

Met a girl from here , left me with trauma and agony

Assalamu Alaikum, my dear Muslim brothers and sisters. ❤️

I'm a South Indian Muslim, almost 31. I worked in the GCC, supported my family, got my sister married, and rebuilt our home. But after returning to India, I'm struggling with debt, an unsettled career, loneliness, and uncertainty about my future. I'm still unmarried, and I've also lost two of my closest cousins in an accident. That loss deeply affected me, and I've struggled to recover emotionally.

Honestly, I feel lost and overwhelmed. I'm not the most religious person, but prayed namaz juma and ocassion

Please don't advise me only to pray, make dua, or do dhikr. I know their importance. Right now, I need practical motivation and guidance on where to begin rebuilding my life.

We cannot expect bread and butter on our plates by simply praising Allah; we must also get up, work hard, and take action.

Brothers and sisters, if you've overcome similar struggles, please share your experiences. I'm not looking for sympathy. I genuinely want to rebuild my life, but I need some direction. ❤️🤲
