I remember...one day in the mid 2000s, I had an exceptionally bad day. I was going through some things and I was just very sad/upset. I came home and straight went to my room upstairs. My dad noticed it. Later he knocked on my door. I let him in and he went "I know you're probably feeling sad today. Don't let that have power over the rest of your day. If you can, let it go. Whatever or whoever upset you isn't worth it".
Then he said "don't hang onto negative feelings and emotions. I have those moments, too. Then I tell myself what's the use? It's in the past but now it's taking up my present. I'd rather enjoy my present moment and not think or worry about those stuff that probably wasn't or isn't under my control anyways!"...
Dad asked if I ever heard the song "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head"?. I hadn't. He said that it's one of his favourite songs growing up, that I should search it up on YouTube and listen to it, and adapt that kinda attitude.
