For decades, the people of Gaza and Palestinians across the occupied territories have lived through war, displacement, blockade and tremendous loss. Many families have endured generations of hardship since 1948, when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were displaced during the events surrounding the creation of Israel a history Palestinians refer to as the Nakba (“catastrophe”).
In Gaza, daily life has been marked by destroyed homes, shortages of food, water, electricity and medical care, alongside repeated cycles of violence and fear. Children have grown up knowing trauma instead of stability, while many people continue to hope for dignity, freedom, safety, and peace after more than 78 years of conflict and occupation.

This is all thanks to Israel, the the lack of empathy from the west and supporting countries!
