And describe you as the most beautiful rose.
Let me liken your eyes to sparkling pearls,
And your tresses to soft, flowing clouds.
Let me describe your brow as exquisite,
And your complexion as pure and white as milk.
Let me liken your lips to the softness of a flower,
And your tone to the cheerful, bubbling sound of a waterfall.
I am not afraid of this anger of yours;
Let me portray it as something even sweeter.
Hearing the sweetness of your voice,
Let me describe it as more melodious than the cuckoo's song.
When you are busy with the demands of work,
I shall write many a ghazal while waiting for you.
Seeing the depth reflected in your books,
I wish to write countless books for you.
Yet, even after writing all this, Shadab’s heart is not content;

Quiet moments
Speaking to my soul.
Precious and rare.
Releasing control.

Beautiful and sweet
Memories we create together.
Like a warm summer day.
Some souls stay forever.

Hold tight, the hurt is temporary, cake is forever... eat cake.
