Dust of Grief Across the Sky
Across the dome of the sky lies scattered the dust of grief
Where now is the glory of the Caliphate where the soaring peaks of majesty
A shadow of foreign rule hangs over the sacred mantle of Jerusalem
Red with blood is every desert and crimson every field of tulips
Our birds fly homeless the holy sanctuary stripped of honor
No sword remains in the hand of the believer
The guardians of the sanctuary drown in wine filled goblets
Extinguishing with their own hands the lights of their own home
In servile devotion to foreign powers they squandered their faith
Kings and sultans reduced to mere instruments of the adversary
Internal strife has extinguished the flame of selfhood
Forgetting the lesson once taught by the Quran
Arise for the dawn approaches awaken O oblivious soul
Should the nation unite as one every prison house shall break
The gaze of spiritual poverty possesses a renewed vision
Before which the ancient celestial palace turns dark
It is not the way of the believer to fear the enemy
Nor to weep forever over one wretched plight
Until your selfhood is ignited by the warmth of Haidar courage
The destiny of earth and time shall never change
You alone possess true foresight you are the voice of life
Teach the world once more the lessons of love and dignity
Emerge from the quiet shrines into the battlefield
That the spell of falsehood may shatter and the dawn of a new era arrive
Erase the marks of division and should we unite as one nation
Every desert of the Holy Land shall bloom once more into a field of tulips

Perhaps growing up
is realizing
that some endings
were never meant
to have explanations.

The Scent of Serenity

The scent of rain-soaked earth,
The morning dew glistening on the grass,
The birds greeting the day with their songs,
The soft whisper of the breeze,
The flowing serenade of the river,
The sunrise filtering through the emerald canopy,
The dancing glow of fireflies at dusk,
The gentle chorus of crickets,
The caress of the night wind,
The comforting crackle of a warm fire,
The velvet blanket of moonlight,
The stars' dazzling dance,
The feathered lullaby of the night,

Together, they remind us that true peace is often found in nature's simplest moments.

I thought my heart had learned to stand alone,
Until your love made all its silence known.

You came with truth, no mask, no need to hide,
And every wound in me knew yours inside.

As Eve from Adam’s rib was shaped by grace,
I found my missing piece in your embrace.

I want the years to silver both our hair,
While children’s laughter fills the home we share.

And when my final breath is almost through,
I’ll thank Allah for blessing me with you.

Life is hers, death is mine,

Peace is hers, stress is mine,

Happiness is hers, sorrow is mine,

Everything is hers,

But she is mine. (Im single so technically no female is mine… yet) 😭🥲

I just thought to share there was this cover song by Leona Leewis for a song by NIN, and it just hits differently every time I hear it and it says:

If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

  • Rather than losing others to other people, addictions, mistakes, expectations, or circumstances, one would hold on to who he/she is.

i said it once, then said it twice
in softer words, in colder nights
the message stayed, it never moved
as if my truth had nothing proved

i turned it into patient speech
that tried to cross what you won’t reach
but silence learned your name too well
and broke the things i could not tell

i saw no change in how you stand
no reaching back, no open hand
just empty rooms where effort fades
and love dissolves in small charades

so i stepped back to find my name
where respect is more than blame
