Most people are afraid of surveillance cameras, but they fearlessly do things in the shadows secretly that they shouldn't do.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Shall I not inform you of the greatest of the major sins?”
They said:
“Yes, O Messenger of Allah.”
He said:
“Associating partners with Allah and being undutiful to one’s parents.”
He was reclining, then he sat up and said:
“And false speech and false testimony.”
He continued repeating it until we wished he would stop.

"And to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him is [due] worship constantly. Then is it other than Allah that you fear?" (An Nahl: 52) This is the proof for the scholars who say we can never do enough good deeds for heaven. The hadith of the prophet would, obviously, also be an evidence for the Sunnis. The one of no one's deeds will be a means for them to enter Paradise. This hadith is recorded by Saheeh Bukhari, no. 6467 and also Bukhari has two other versions as well. One can also use logic that heaven is forever so how can deeds done over a life of 60 years to 70 years be enough for eternity? God knows best.
