Exile within the homeland.

Where human life holds absolutely no value.
Where basic necessities begin to feel like luxuries.
Where justice serves only the powerful.
Where modest, practicing people are left suffocating just to survive.
The suffocation you feel is proof that your heart is still alive, refusing to adapt to the decay around it. The exile is heavy, but the preservation of your soul is heavier.
