It is so clear that they have built genuine friendships and a real sense of trust with these families. The atmosphere was so warm and comfortable that the connection just jumped right through the lens. It made my job as a photographer so easy because everyone was just completely at ease and happy to be around them. Wael Hassan on Instagram: "Last weekend I got to volunteer as a photographer for the Nashville Adult Literacy Council (NALC - @nashvilleliteracy ), and honestly, it completely made my week. It was so special getting to meet all the families who came out to get their pictures taken. There was so much energy, laughter, and pride in the room. It was just impossible not to smile behind the camera. NALC is such an incredible organization, and the way they show up to support and empower these families is beautiful to see. I feel really lucky I got to play a small part in capturing these moments.
