Why does Pakistani law often seem to favor the mother when it comes to child custody?

If a mother takes Khula and the child remains with her, does the father really have to settle for seeing his own child for only one hour once a month through the court?

And if that scheduled day falls during court holidays, does it mean the father may not be able to see his child for two or even three months?

A father should also have the right to maintain a healthy and meaningful relationship with his child. The best interest of the child should be the priority—not simply favoring one parent over the other.
