Is it just me or it seems like everyone is weird? (Probably I'm weird too who knows..)

It seems almost impossible to find a normal person

Are there any imams or Islamic scholars here?

I was thinking about giving the imam at my mosque a small gift: a copy of Seneca’s Dialogues. It’s a book on Stoic philosophy that discusses things like controlling emotions, dealing with anger and hardship, discipline, happiness, and living a good life.

I know it isn’t an Islamic book, so I was wondering if something like this would be an appropriate gift for an imam. Do imams and Islamic scholars generally read philosophy or books like Seneca outside of Islamic literature?

Tell me. What do you think is a red flag ? 🚩

Alhamdulillah, I took my Shahada today. ☪️

I’m very happy and at peace with this decision. This is the beginning of a new chapter in my life, and I’m grateful to officially begin my journey as a Muslim.

I’m posting this anonymously because I’ve actually been on this app for a couple of weeks before taking my Shahada. I mainly joined beforehand because I wanted to learn more, observe the community, and see what it was like. I hope nobody has a problem with that—I was simply exploring Islam and the Muslim community before officially taking this step.

May Allah guide me, strengthen my faith, and keep me on the right path. 🤲

I keep checking to see if someone is messaging on the marriage side but it's just Muzz letting me know my boost has ended. 😅🥹
