I matched with this person on this app. Right away, he asked for my phone number, then quickly deactivated his account on the app and moved the conversation to WhatsApp.
After a short time, he started talking about his business and building trust. A few days later, before we had even met in person, he tried to convince me to use a platform where I would need to deposit $2,000–$3,000 and transfer money through cryptocurrency.
The situation felt very suspicious. He kept pushing me to try different money transfer apps and methods. His goal seemed to be getting me to move money into a platform that looked like a scam, and then he would disappear.
Please be careful if someone you meet online quickly moves you off the dating app, talks about investments or business opportunities, and asks you to deposit money or use crypto platforms. This is a common scam pattern.
