Why do people here easily dismiss compliments? I sent a guy a compliment and was really looking forward to some reply, why don’t people explain or apologize to others, why do many find it easy to break a women’s even if she sends out a compliment with all respect. What is wrong with sending a compliment as a women. May Allah heal everyone heart here.

Salam, maybe the brothers can let me know if there’s something I’m missing here. I’m actually looking for explanations here not just trying to complain. I’ve had this app for 2 and a half years and I’m really a very hopeful person. But I’m disappointed because I don’t understand why I haven’t found a match. I’ve tried different pictures and I’ve also liked some of the brothers profiles first, I’ve even messaged first on occasion when I’ve had a match left for a bit.
I haven’t linked my marriage profile so the purpose isn’t to brag or anything but I was 20 years old when I first downloaded the app and 23 now so I am young. I wear hijab and dress modestly, and Im not saying I’m the most beautiful woman on earth but I take care of my diet and have always been thin. And as far as I can tell growing up, people find me beautiful. I’m also born in the U.S. and I’m Arab, and Im well educated postgrad degree in progress. And not medical school or anything that takes an insane amount of time.
What is deterring? I wonder if maybe I’m just not photogenic or if something is being assumed about me that I’d say no so no one bothers perhaps. Or I wonder if the hijab may be the issue either or if there are just so many beautiful women the brothers can’t stop themselves from continuing to search for better. Any insights?
