A Serious Message to Some Muslim Ladies on Muzz
I want to speak honestly about something that has become increasingly disturbing on Muzz. Some Muslim ladies appear to be using a platform that was created for people seeking genuine marriage as a means of defrauding men and obtaining money or other material benefits.
Some men come to Muzz with sincere intentions to find a wife, only to discover that after a few conversations, the discussion turns to financial requests, airtime, transport money, bills, gifts or other forms of assistance. When someone deliberately pretends to be interested in marriage simply to gain someone's trust and eventually take money from them, that is deception and financial exploitation.
Islam does not permit such behaviour. Allah says in the Qur'an:
“And do not consume one another's wealth unjustly…”
Qur'an 2:188
Allah also says:
“O you who believe! Do not consume one another's wealth unjustly, but only [in lawful] business by mutual consent.”
Qur'an 4:29
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also said:
“Whoever deceives us is not one of us.”
Sahih Muslim
This is not an accusation against every Muslim woman on Muzz. There are many decent, sincere and marriage-minded Muslim women on the platform. But those who deliberately deceive men, manipulate their emotions and use the prospect of marriage to obtain money should seriously fear Allah.
The same warning applies to men who engage in similar behaviour. Being a Muslim means that our dealings with other people must be guided by honesty, sincerity and the fear of Allah.
Muzz is supposed to be a place where people can seek a genuine spouse, not a marketplace for exploiting someone's emotions or financial situation.
If your intention is marriage, be sincere. If your intention is money, do not disguise it as marriage.
Fear Allah. What you take from people unjustly in this world will not be hidden from Him in the Hereafter.

@Olalekan12
When someone tells you that you don’t look like a Muslim, it simply means the minimum expectation of decency expected of you was not met and they are not the problem. Perhaps, you should check yourself.

I find it quite interesting when people unmatch others because of their level of faith…
Someone matched with me a while ago, asked me about my faith and all that, and then this guy unmatched me because he asked if I recited Suratul Kahf on Fridays and I answered, “No.” The thing off me, make I no lie. 😂
I understand that everyone is allowed to choose their preferred partner, and you’re absolutely entitled to have certain religious criteria. But coming out to openly brag about unmatching people because they haven’t reached a certain level of faith seems like you’re mocking them.
Maybe I’m old-school in my thinking, but then again, that’s just my opinion.
It’s okay to unmatch someone when you feel they don’t meet your criteria. It’s not okay to openly mock them for where they are in their faith. Who says you are a better Muslim than they are to begin with? 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
May Almighty Allah guide us all aright. Ameen. 🤲🏽
