One more thing I don’t understand about this app is that girls try to hide their pictures by blurring them and never showing them, even if you’ve matched with them. What’s the point of this? At least I should know who i am taking too .

Please don’t judge me for saying this—read my intention before forming an opinion.

This may sound a little unusual, but as a single mom, I’m genuinely looking for one good male friend — strictly friendship, nothing more.

Life can get lonely when you’re carrying responsibilities on your own. Sometimes you just want someone you can talk to, laugh with, exchange thoughts with, discuss life, or simply have a normal conversation with without everything turning complicated.

I’ve personally struggled with female friendships where there has been judgment, comparison, backbiting, gossip, or a lack of genuine support. I know not every woman is like that, but I’ve realized I may connect better with emotionally mature men when it comes to a simple, healthy friendship.

I’m looking for a man who is:

• Emotionally mature — can communicate without getting defensive or disappearing
• Kind and empathetic — understands that people have struggles without judging them
• Trustworthy — what is shared privately stays private
• Respectful — especially of boundaries
• Non-judgmental — you don’t need to agree with everything to listen
• A good listener — not every conversation needs to become advice, criticism, or flirting
• Honest and straightforward — no games, manipulation, or hidden agendas
• Positive and grounded — someone who can bring a little peace and laughter into a conversation
• Secure in himself — friendship doesn’t need to become possessive, romantic, or complicated
• Comfortable with platonic boundaries — no flirting, sexual conversations, emotional dependency, or marriage expectations

I’m not looking for a relationship, situationship, or secret romantic connection. I’m not looking to cross any Islamic boundaries or create anything haram.

I’m simply looking for one genuine friend around DFW—someone I can casually chat with, talk about life with, laugh with, and know that the friendship is based on mutual respect and good intentions.

I don’t need 50 people in my comments . One sincere, emotionally mature person is enough.

If you genuinely understand what platonic friendship with boundaries means and that’s what you’re looking for too, feel free to reach out.

If your real intention is something else, please don’t message me.
