I sometimes wonder what my other half is doing. I'm finally in a position where I can get married. When I read, I sometimes read out loud and pretend that I'm reading to her (I even do the voices). Other times, I recite my salah out loud to practise leading her in prayer. It's really on my mind, but inshaAllah it will come soon. Then I can ask her where she's been all my life, haha.

Salam alaikom. I would like to make a proposition to all muslims looking to get married in Edmonton, Alberta and other cities, later. I used to work as a medical rep. and i was a good organizer and host. I've noticed that the main problem with these apps is trust, skepticism and plain awkwardness. So, I would like to host a meet-up at one of the muslim restaurants in Sherwood Park. I will be the objective organizer and also the bridge between the couples, if they're interested in each other. There'll be no phone number exchange, until the woman is comfortable. I can also help with the "understanding each other" and open communication part, which causes so much issues. I will also help with constructive feedback. I will be having a reliable friend as a co-host. He's a Mexican/ Spanish guy who's very friendly. He's name is Roberto. I dont want anythin from anyone. Just pay for whatever you order in the restaurant. Let me know who's interested in my DMs. If we have enough people, I will msg back about date, time and location of venue. I truly believe this will be much better than just doin it thru an app or intimidating family settings or awkward first private dates. It'll be a great icebreaker also.
