A woman carries the responsibility of generations upon her shoulders;
it does not befit her to be led astray by every temptation,
nor does it befit her to lose her dignity
by believing in false promises.
A woman is character; a woman is honor.
A woman is a symbol of respect,
and she is a sacred trust
bestowed upon her by her Lord.
Her status is noble and her dignity is precious.
It does not befit her to fall into the traps of deception,
to mistake every sweet word for love,
or to consider every promise a guarantee of loyalty.
There are deceitful people
who, through lustful gazes, lies, and false displays of love,
try to trap innocent hearts in their schemes.
First, they show dreams of love,
then they try to tear a woman’s honor apart,
and when their purpose is fulfilled,
they abandon her helpless and alone.
Some even go so far as to commit violence and murder,
leaving her belonging neither to her family nor to the world.
Sometimes they turn away from the relationship,
sometimes they run away from their responsibilities,
and sometimes they cross every limit of cruelty,
destroying an entire life.
O Daughter of Eve, understand this:
Not every smile is love,
not every promise is loyalty,
not every hand that holds yours truly belongs to you,
and not everyone who claims to love you
is worthy of your respect.
You are not merely someone’s beloved.
You are a mother; you are a daughter.
You are the honor of a home,
the dignity of a family.
Within your lap
lies the first school of generations.
In your embrace,
a child receives the first lessons of life.
Through your upbringing,
character is born,
and through your education,
the future is shaped.
Therefore, O Woman,
recognize your worth.
Make your dignity your strength.
If you love, then love with sincerity.
If you build a relationship, build it with loyalty.
And never make the decision of your life
on the basis of someone’s false promises.

Motherhood should be neither romanticized nor maligned.

Motherhood is a gift and blessing, but it also requires more effort and growth than maybe you had anticipated. It is hard and demanding, but it is also one of the most fulfilling and lovely things you will ever experience in this life as a woman.

Motherhood is what it is.

It is a combination of opposites: both scary and reassuring, simultaneously fulfilling and depleting, hard but also amazing.

Sometimes, people talking to new mothers romanticize motherhood so much that it creates the wrong expectations and causes the new mother to feel shocked and depressed at the reality of day-to-day motherhood.

Other times, people will malign motherhood so much that they scare away young women, making them too terrified of the details of motherhood to ever want to have children.

The truth is: as a woman, motherhood is both one of the hardest things you will ever do, AND also one of the most rewarding things you will ever do.

Motherhood changes you.

It gives you newfound strength, bravery, and patience.

Yet it also drains you so often of energy, sleep, and sanity.

It takes over your life, but it also gives your life meaning.

It fills your nights with baby cries, but it also fills your days with laughter.

It takes everything out of you some days, but it also gives you an entirely new and beautiful understanding of love.

Motherhood is difficult, no doubt. We shouldn't sugarcoat it, causing poor new moms to be shocked and stunned later on and making them doubt themselves when things start to feel hard.

But, even despite the hardship, motherhood is so, so beautiful.

Make your intention purely for the sake of Allah, so that all the difficult moments and hard situations become a source of reward for you.

May Allah reward all Muslim mothers and accept!

May Allah compensate all women who would have liked to be mothers but it was not written for them, and reward them for their patience.
