Why is it so hard to find someone loyal?

The River That Never Turns Back
No river has ever turned around to reclaim the water it has already given away.
It keeps flowing.
It does not pause to count the fields it has nourished.
It does not wait for the trees to thank it.
It does not ask the flowers to remember its name.
Wherever Allah allows it to pass, life quietly follows.
How different our hearts might become if goodness flowed the same way.
So many beautiful deeds are left undone because they are tied to conditions.
We wait to be appreciated before we become generous.
We wait to be understood before we forgive.
We wait to be loved before we show kindness.
Yet creation does not bargain with the purpose Allah has given it.
The river continues its course.
The rain falls where Allah wills.
The earth receives what He sends.
Perhaps sincerity begins when goodness no longer depends on being noticed.
Perhaps the purest acts are the ones that leave our hands without asking whether anyone will remember them.
For Allah remembers what people forget.
And no act done for His sake is ever carried away without reaching the One who sees every hidden intention.
